Creating a Healthy BASEMENT
When it comes to creating a Healthy Basement it can be broken down into four parts: Mold Removal, Waterproofing, Water Restoration, and Humidity Control. We often come across mold growing in basements. There are a number of reasons why mold might start growing in a basement but the two biggest reasons are high humidity and moisture. We recommend waterproofing systems as a method of prevention against mold growth and structural damage to basement foundations. Humidity issues are often caused by clients not having a full-home dehumidifier. The last thing that makes a healthy basement is support when the unexpected happens. We help our clients dry-out, demo, and restore their basements when their prevention methods like a sump pump back up cause their basements to flood. Our Solution For MOLD
Your overall health is important to us so the first step to every mold job is to make sure the worksite is sealed and contained to prevent cross-contamination throughout other areas of the house during our remediation process. After the worksite is contained and secured our solution for basement mold remediation is to physically remove any affected porous materials such as drywall and paneling. If there is mold on your foundation walls our process would be to grind down and prep the area. After the first phase is completed we would then treat the affected building materials by using specialized HEPA equipment and by treating it with an EPA registered disinfectant. After the mold removal is completed we offer our clients different solutions to help prevent the mold from returning.
If you suspect you have mold in your basement, please don't panic. Give us a call and we can come out and perform an inspection or even get your basement tested for mold. If it turns out you need mold remediation performed it is important to stay calm and reach out for professional assistance.
Our SOLUTION TO BASEMENT WATERPROOFING
Water intrusion is one of the biggest causes of mold growth in a basement. From what we have seen water intrusion could start as a small leak due to downspouts not being attached to gutters, or even just a plumbing leak. What starts as a small issue turns into a big issue if the problem isn't fixed right away.
Our solution is to trap that water below your foundation footer by installing an interior french drainage system. The first step is to demo out the concrete around the perimeter of the basement. We would then install our interior french drainage system by digging a trench below your foundation footer around the entire perimeter of the basement. After that, we backfill the trench with gravel we install a perforated pipe and connect it to a sump pump. This system will lead the water directly to the sump pump basin, where the sump pump will pump the water to the exterior of your home keeping your basement dry.
OUR SOLUTION TO WATER RESTORATION
Whether it be a 1,000-year rain, a sump pump back up, or a basement that floods all the time. We got you covered. Our team is here to help you during the unexpected. We will work with your insurance company making sure they have everything they need to be able to file your claims.
Not only will we come out and extract water from your basement, but we will also use commercial-grade dehumidifiers and fans to make sure it is dried out properly. If your basement has been wet for over 48 hours, we would perform a flood cut and remove and dispose of all affected drywall, paneling, carpet, and insulation.
